Coheed...Amazing as always... Headliners....not so
Headliners, a good venue gone wrong, was where I usually love going to concerts. As we walked into our sold out show, the security told us the air conditioner was broken, which was fantastic. The opening act was terrible, truly, but to my surprise, that was the only opening band. It was a great concert, good value - Erra played a full set of old favorites and standards. I was disappointed not to hear Delirium Trigger and Mother Superior, and unsurprised I didn't hear my favorite, the slow Wake Up. Erra was great, as always - forever about the music and not the theatrics. I pushed my way to the front of the crowd, but about 10 minutes until the end of the concert, I seriously had to shove my way back out because I was so hot that I was nauseous. Bottom line: There was no place besides the bathroom where you weren't being smashed on all sides. Insanely hot and overbooked if you asked me. They said a total of 13 words that night, which is more than I've heard them say in all three concerts of theirs I've been to combined lol.
